BEANS LONG

Long Beans (Vigna unguiculata subsp. sesquipedalis), also known as yardlong beans, Chinese long beans, or asparagus beans, are a variety of legume that grow as long, slender pods. These beans are commonly used in Asian, Indian, and Southeast Asian cuisines and are known for their unique length, tender texture, and mild, slightly sweet flavor. The beans are typically harvested when the pods are immature and still tender.

Long beans are a good source of dietary fiber, which aids digestion, helps lower cholesterol levels, and supports blood sugar regulation. They contain Vitamin A (important for eye health and immune function), Vitamin C (supports immune health and skin health), and B-vitamins like folate and Vitamin B6, which contribute to metabolism and nervous system function.  Long beans are rich in potassium, which helps manage blood pressure, and also contain iron, magnesium, and calcium, important for overall health.
